Car Insurance

Medical Payments Coverage :-
In an auto insurance policy, the medical payments coverage means the car insurance policy takes care of medical expenses and sometimes even funeral expenses that have resulted after a car accident. Your car can be a part of accident and medical expenses can be pretty high at times. It can happen with any one. The accident can be while you're driving your own car or someone else's car with their permission. The medical payments coverage policy will pay for everything regardless of who is at fault, but if someone else is responsible, then it’s necessary for your insurer to recover the expenses from him or her.
It also makes payments of all reasonable and necessary medical treatments for bodily injury, for you or your family member’s injury while riding in some other car or while walking. That treatment includes, among other things, x-rays, ambulance, surgery, hospital, physicians and sometimes even funeral expenses.
If you already have a good health, life or short/long term disability insurance, then there are not many benefits in medical payments coverage from your auto insurer. If you want you can buy a minimum required medical payments coverage policy. Unlike health-care coverage, medical payments coverage is not often part of an HMO or PPO and may provide greater flexibility in care.
